NCIS season 17 episode 12 is arriving on CBS next week, with the title "Flight Plan." This is the first episode after Cote de Pablo's four-episode arc as Ziva David. Following the appearance of this character, some questions inevitably arise. For instance, what's next for the team now? In the upcoming episode, we will see them going to the beach to solve a case.
In NCIS season 17 episode 12, the NCIS team will investigate an F-18 crash and the subsequent disappearance of the pilot who's operating the aircraft. Meanwhile, McGee is reluctant about discussing a very personal decision with his teammates. His storyline is, perhaps, one of the most interesting plots in the episode -- mostly because he has to make some personal decisions.
Yet, there are also other storylines worth exploring in the upcoming episode. For example, there are still a lot of questions regarding the future of Sloane and Gibbs. It's also interesting to see what we could expect with Torres and Bishop. In addition, there's a story featuring Fornell and his daughter; a plot which was brought up at the end of the previous season.
Meanwhile, some of the photos of NCIS season 17 episode 12 showed that the team is on the beach to solve their case of the week. The team goes to this place to investigate a case that starts with a fighter-jet crash and a missing pilot. There are a lot of mysteries surrounding this episode and the team likely went to the beach to search for some clues.
As for Ziva, she won't be appearing in the upcoming episode. But, some viewers were hoping they'll give some updates about her; such as her reunion with her family. While it would be great to see her return in the series again, it seems like that wouldn't happen now as she seemingly walked away from the office and her time on the series officially wrapped up.
In another report, Robert Wagner's Anthony DiNozzo Senior is coming back in NCIS season 17. According to a report from TVInsider, the actor's character is officially coming back in the later run on the season. Executive producer Frank Cardea said the series will introduce DiNozzo Sr. on a personal nature, and then he'll be involved in the telling of the story of the case.
NCIS season 17 episode 12 will air on Tuesday, Jan. 14, on CBS.
