For the Golden State Warriors, the ongoing season is a transition period. Kevin Durant has switched jersey while Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson have been sidelined by injuries. For the Dubs to return to the old championship form, they need to recruit a new superstar, and it has to be Giannis Antetokounmpo as there no settling for less.

In a recent game between GSW and the Milwaukee Bucks, Curry was seen saying something to the Greek Freak. It turned out that the two MVPs have been sharing notes on their PUBG adventures, and reportedly, Curry was proposing a collaboration with Antetokounmpo.

Fadeaway World reported Curry is looking to work with the 25-year-old Bucks superstar as the former is convinced that their tandem "could do some damage together." Again to be clear, the Warriors star was talking about excelling in an online game.

However, it's not hard to imagine that Curry is helping out his team and is building up a connection with Antetokounmpo for now. The end goal is to build a foundation that could lead to a working relationship. Curry is recruiting Antetokounmpo, and he is using the soft-selling tactic, the report said.

Curry's off-court activities are in line with the long-term plan hatched by GSW. The goal is to increase the chance of signing up Antetokounmpo, seen by experts to dominate the league in the years to come, according to Yahoo Sports.

The Warriors are banking on a scenario that in 2021, their recruit target will decline a super-max extension coming from the Bucks. The former NBA champs are hoping that a $250 million pay package for five years will not overwhelm Antetokounmpo. He will say no and opt to entertain other offers through free agency.

Meanwhile, the Dubs are connecting the dots that will lead them to closer to Antetokounmpo. Professionally, the team now has direct access to the young player by way of Alex Saratsis. He represents the Greek-Nigerian and happens to be the same agent for present Warriors member Damion Lee.

In addition, other Warriors are doing their part, per the same report. GSW head coach Steve Kerr has only praises for the power forward, characterizing Antetokounmpo as a competitive and amazing player.

"He's a great player and great for our league. People pay good money to see him play," Kerr was reported as saying.

Draymond Green, known always to say what he means, was quick to declare that Antetokounmpo is one of a kind.

"A guy who is that size, who handles the ball the way he does and dominates the floor, the game, the way he has. He's that athletic. It's kind of rare," Green said.

In the past, the Warriors made it a team effort to pull Durant away from New Orleans. In the build-up to Antetokounmpo's expected free agency next year, the Dubs are convinced they can do it again and start winning NBA titles again.
