With the ongoing crisis the monarchy is experiencing right now, there are questions how Queen Elizabeth II is doing today. A Sandringham crisis summit is, currently, taking place to create a resolution over Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's decision to step down from their royal duties. Fortunately, Her Majesty is reportedly doing "alright" amidst the new controversy.

The Queen attended the Sunday service at St Mary Magdalene Church before the crisis talks took place on Monday, Jan. 13. At the time, Her Royal Highness' eldest grandson, Peter Phillips, Princess Anne's son, was also in attendance.

Peter gave an update about his grandmother when asked about how Queen Elizabeth was doing after Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's announcement. According to The Daily Telegraph, he said she was "alright."

Express noted that Prince Charles was not at the Sunday service with his mother as he attended a condolence ceremony of Sultan Qaboos bin Said al Said. After that, he is expected to return to the United Kingdom to join the crisis talks.

It would be the first time that the royals would come together after Prince Harry and Meghan Markle made their plans public. Allegedly, Queen Elizabeth was not informed of their decision to announce their resignation.

Hence, BBC royal correspondent Jonny Dymond revealed that their move hurt her. Prince Harry stayed in the U.K. to continue the talks, while his wife returned to Canada, where they reportedly left baby Archie. She would join in the discussion remotely.

A royal source told The Daily Telegraph that the royal family would gather at Sandringham on Monday to talk things through. It would be led by Queen Elizabeth, Prince Charles, and Prince William, together with Prince Harry.

After a series of meetings and consultations over the last few days, they may consider the plan that the Sussexes revealed in their announcement. The change on Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's duties in the monarchy is said to require thorough and complex discussion.

Although Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's announcement shocked the world, it was no longer a surprise. Before the Duke and Duchess returned to the U.K, there were rumors that they wanted to resign from their posts and live in Canada.

The two have been open about their real feelings as working royals, per CNN. They even revealed the public scrutiny and their relationship with the royal family in the controversial ITV documentary last year. With all these things happening to them, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle admitted that they are not happy with their royal lives.
