Jennifer Aniston and Courteney Cox have been close buddies with their Friends co-stars Lisa Kudrow, Matthew Perry, Matt LeBlanc, and David Schwimmer. But, a new rumor emerged that Aniston and Cox have abandoned their friendship with Perry.

The source of the National Enquirer accused the actresses of turning their back on Perry. The insider claimed Jen and Courteney are fed up with the actor amidst his struggles with sobriety.

"They promised to look after Matthew after he slid off the fails a few months ago...But it seems they've either forgotten, can't be bothered or just look at him as a lost cause," the source said.

The insider's basis for making such a claim is the speculation that Perry wasn't around in any of Cox's year-end get-togethers as well as Aniston's Christmas party. The insider alleged Jen and Courteney don't want The Good Fight actor to be around with their A-list friends and also don't believe in Perry's promises anymore that he is determined to stay sober.

Gossip Cop noted that, even if it is true that the actor wasn't at his friends' parties, it doesn't mean that there is a rift between then or Jen and Courteney abandoned their pal. The outlet also noted that Perry was not the only friend of the two who were not in their year-end parties. LeBlanc and Schwimmer were not at those parties either.

Gossip Cop noted that this might only mean the Friends female lead cast members are simply closer with each other than their male counterparts. The site also stressed that it is hard to believe that Jen and Courteney would all of a sudden decide to end their friendship with Perry when a few months ago, they showed off their close friendship on their social media posts.

When Aniston launched her Instagram account in October, the very first photo she shared was with her Friends co-stars Lisa Kudrow, Courteney Cox, Matt Blanc, David Schwimmer, and Matthew Perry. Moreover, The Morning Show star revealed, during her recent interview with Howard Sternm, that the entire cast of Friends had reunited for dinner the weekend before her talk with the host.

In November, Cox also shared a selfie of her and Perry. The actress said in the photo caption that she and the actor just had lunch together, to which Jen responded by pretending she was dismayed that she wasn't invited to her friends' day out.

Cox and Perry mini-reunion also sparked rumors that the on-screen couple is dating in real life. However, reps of both stars denied the speculations.
