Amid royal exit crisis, some notice that Meghan Markle is channeling her mother-in-law, the late Princess Diana, with her no show at the royal summit. As she returned to Canada to be with her eight-month-old son, baby Archie, Prince Harry was left to attend the meeting with other senior royals at Sandringham. If his mother is only alive, the Princess of Wales' former butler claimed that she would have supported her youngest son and wife's decision.

Paul Burrell told Inside Edition that he believed Prince Diana would let Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to put their relationship above everything else than their ties with the royal family. He is convinced that the Sussexes decided to move to North America to do what is best for their family.

If Princess Diana is only alive, Burrell said that she might embrace Prince Harry and Meghan Markle and tell them to "do their thing and what makes them happy." Just like the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, the People's Princess also planned to move to North America before she died.

So, it looks like Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are following her footsteps. Princess Diana once planned to have a house in Malibu, California, in Julie Andrew's former home. At the time, she allegedly told Burrell that she would buy that property to give her kids a new perspective on life.

Talking about Princess Diana's kids, Burrell added that she would surely be brokenhearted, knowing that they have a reported rift. When Prince Charles' ex-wife died, Prince William and Prince Harry used to be cemented together. At the time, it would be impossible to keep them apart.

When they had a feud, Princess Diana would tell them to put their differences apart for her. She, too, feared that Prince Harry would only be under the shadow of Prince William, knowing he's the second in line to the throne. Sadly, the Duke of Sussex was only known as a spare, questioning what job he could have.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are not only following Princess Diana's footstep but the former actress is also channeling her move, per Express. The two are expected to be at Sandringham together to talk about their announcement to step down from their royal duties, but Harry was the only one in attendance. Meghan returned to Canada to rejoin baby Archie, who was left in the country amidst all the controversy.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's alleged no-holds-barred interview mirrored Princess Diana's Panorama interview in 1995. Not only that, but Diana also didn't show up to the crunch talks with Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip over her separation from their son, Prince Charles, in 1992, just like what Meghan did now.
