Princess Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi were revealed to get married later this year. While the couple seems to be busy and occupied right now for the preparations, they are still being plagued by various reports and controversies. It is no longer surprising, though, given all the things that are currently happening with the British Royal Family.

A few weeks after the couple officially announced their engagement, Prince Andrew sat in an exclusive interview with BBC Newsnight. Although probably hoping for things to get better, especially with his reported affiliations with the late Jeffrey Epstein's infamous case, he was further criticized and "lambasted" by the public. As a result, he was reportedly forced to "retire" early from his royal duties.

This has gravely affected not only the Duke of York but, the Royal Family as well, including especially his children, Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice. The eldest Princess of York may seemingly have gotten more attention considering that she just announced her engagement and upcoming wedding plans.

According to Daily Express, this dynamic continues to develop in recent times. One of the huge tells includes Prince Andrew's speculated "role" in the upcoming wedding of his daughter.

Royal correspondent Angela Mollard shared that Princess Beatrice's father may have very little to no role at all in the royal's upcoming wedding with Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi. He would likely walk his daughter down the aisle. But, aside from this, nothing much will be left for him to partake in.

The royal expert also noted that the Duke of York did not attend his daughter's engagement party, which was previously revealed to be postponed because of Prince Andrew's controversial interview. Accordingly, the same thing might happen to the princess' big day later this year, she added.

This was not the only struggle that the York family has been facing lately. As per Daily Mail, Princess Beatrice's wedding has been also affected by Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's "bombshell" announcement that they will already step down as senior royals.

The publication stated that the eldest Princess of York is "forced to delay" the date of her wedding because of all the ongoing controversies and scandals that the whole British monarchy is facing. Also, it was revealed that they had to change the venue of the ceremony from The Guard's Chapel, St. James Park to somewhere much more appropriate.

This was said to be decided after Prince Andrew announced that he will already "suspend" his ties with "military associations."
