Prince Harry officially turned his back from being a senior royal to be “financially independent” with Meghan Markle. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex then revealed that they intend to spend their lives in the UK and North America.

It was previously confirmed that Queen Elizabeth supports Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s decision. However, an insider shared that the younger son of Prince Charles and Princess Diana was given an ultimatum by Her Majesty.

“It was made abundantly clear to Harry, agree to this and then you can go,” the source said. “By his own admission it was not under the terms he wanted but he had no other option. There was no halfway house, no half-in-half-out arrangement, and this was the only one on the table. Meghan and Harry were so desperate to get out they had no choice and on the face of it, it looks like they have given up a considerable amount.”

Previous reports revealed that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will be creating their own TV firm. Rumor has it that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will be providing voiceovers and producing documentaries on “worthy causes,” and this is where they will be earning their money.

“The sorts of deals they will do will be more along the lines of the documentary series the Duke is executive producing on mental health for Apple TV,” a source told the MailOnline. “It’s a new model, admittedly, but they are determined to prove to the family that this can work.”

Meanwhile, it was previously reported that a lot of people were not happy with Prince Harry and Megan Markle’s decision to live part-time in Canada. Angry locals have told the Duke and Duchess of Sussex that they are not welcome in their country.

In a column in the Canadian newspaper, the Daily Mirror, it stated that Canada is not a back-up place when someone is “looking to get out of Britain while remaining a royal.” The paper then described Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s decision as “vague and evolving.”

“But this country's unique monarchy, and its delicate yet essential place in our constitutional system, means that a royal resident – the prince is sixth in the line of succession – is not something that Canada can allow,” the article read. “It breaks an unspoken constitutional taboo. Princes are not shipped over here when no useful duties can be found for them on the other side of the Atlantic. Canada welcomes people of all faiths, nationalities, and races, but if you're a senior member of our Royal Family, this country cannot become your home."
