Arrow season 8 finale is coming on The CW next week, with the title "Fadeout." Within this episode, viewers will have the chance to see many familiar faces. Aside from Emily Bett Rickards reprising her role as Felicity Smoak, other characters are coming back in the finale as well.
Arrow season 8 finale didn't give much detail on what to expect, aside from noting it's the final events in the story of the Green Arrow. But, the good news is that viewers will have the chance to see familiar faces appearing in the show's final run.
A photo of the upcoming series finale showed some of the returning characters. For instance, Joe Dinico returns a Ragman; he's one of the favorite recurring characters. His appearance in the finale is also reasonable, as some think the series never did him proper justice.
In addition, Willa Holland is coming back as Thea and Colton Haynes as Roy. Also, it looks like these two will get a scene together in the final episode. The question now is: will they finally put their tumultuous past behind them?
It's also worth noting that the upcoming finale will also feature a crossover event, with Grant Gustin's Barry Allen and Caity Lotz's Sara Lance coming back one more time. Moreover, Sea Shimooka and Susanna Thompson will reprise their role as Emiko Queen and Moira, respectively.
The return of Emiko Queen and Moira in Arrow season 8 finale is likely tied to the Crisis on Infinite Earths crossover events. The series finale brings back familiar faces to remember Oliver Queen's life and legacy. He's been a true hero and gave up his own life to save many.
As mentioned, Emily Bett Rickards returns as Felicity Smoak for the last time to pay her respects to her late husband, who died during the Crisis on Infinite Earths crossover. Longtime Arrow fans know that Oliver and Felicity have been a major part of the series for most of its run.
Other photos also teased a final trip to the bunker. While it's hard to say goodbye to the series, we'll still see Stephen Amell appearing as Oliver one last time. So, viewers should prepare themselves as the series finale will be an emotional one.
In another related report, the penultimate episode serves as the backdoor pilot to the Green Arrow and the Canaries spin-off series. However, there's no guarantee that the show will also get a series order, though The CW already picked up other series like Superman and Lois, Walker, and Texas Ranger.
Arrow season 8 finale arrives on Tuesday, Jan. 28, on The CW.
