Last year, TF Securities Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo shared some details about the iPhone 12 series in a report. It includes the screen sizes of the upcoming flagship smartphones. A new set of leaks seems to confirm this along with new information on the top-end model of the iPhone 12 series, presumably the iPhone 12 Pro Max.

iPhone 12 Pro Max

At this point, we do not have the exact names Apple will assign to the models releasing under the iPhone 12 series. In fact, the Cupertino company has not yet revealed the official name of its next flagship smartphone series. For the sake of uniformity, in this article, we refer to the 2020 iPhone models as the iPhone 12 series.

The latest leak about the iPhone 12 comes from the Japanese site Mac Otakara. According to the site, as translated by MacRumors, the top-end model, presumably the iPhone 12 Pro Max, will be a lot thinner. It is approximately 10 percent less thick compared to the iPhone 11 Pro Max.

Additionally, the site claims that unlike its predecessor, the next-generation model will sport larger camera sensors. Moreover, the iPhone 12 Pro Max is slightly taller than its predecessor. Aside from overall design, the top-end iPhone 12 model also shares the same triple rear camera setup with the iPhone 11 Pro Max.

Other iPhone 12 Details

Some of the details shared by the latest set of leaks were earlier revealed by TF Securities Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo. The latest leak also claims that along with the 6.7-inch and 5.4-inch iPhone 12 models, at least one 6.1-inch model will sport different numbers of microphone holes. Additionally, the site reveals that the lower-end iPhone 12 models would feature dual rear cameras similar to that of the iPhone 11.

Aside from these, Mac Otakara also claims that the height of the 5.4-inch iPhone 12 model would sit between the iPhone 8 and the original iPhone SE. Also, the height of at least one 6.1-inch model sits between the height of the iPhone 11 and the iPhone 11 Pro. Moreover, all four iPhone 12 models would feature Face ID and OLED panels, says the Japanese site.

Apple is also preparing to release the iPhone SE 2 this year, according to earlier rumors. It appears that the Cupertino company is keeping the pricing strategy used in the iPhone X and iPhone 11. It is worth mentioning that while these details are interesting and align with earlier rumors and reports, these are purely speculations and not official.
