It has been over a few weeks now since Prince Harry and Meghan Markle announced their "bombshell" revelation that they will now step back as senior members of the British Royal Family. While the Duke and Duchess are now out of the United Kingdom and seemingly enjoying this new chapter of their lives, the reports and speculations surrounding the biggest controversy yet in the British monarchy for this year continue to develop.

As it appears, new developments were revealed recently. It was claimed by sources that the Sussex couple relied on the Duchess' mother, Doria Ragland, amid all the challenges and struggles of the so-called "Megxit."

According to The Sun UK, a source close to the situation revealed that Meghan Markle's mother has become the couple's "support system" throughout their hard times. With Doria's reported "calm" attitude, given her expertise on yoga and meditation, Prince Harry, along with his wife, undoubtedly sees the American yogi as their "tower of strength."

The source further shared that the Duchess of Sussex's mother wants nothing but her "daughter's happiness," and so is the Duke of Sussex. This is why it is not surprising why they have the utmost respect for Doria Ragland.

The publication continued to share that some sources even claimed that Doria always supports Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's decision in whatever circumstance that they are facing. However, it was also attested that she "warned" the young royal couple that they must always be firm with whatever decision they have as they can no longer change their minds at the end.

She is the "epitome of calmness," the source described. Also, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex "trust" her and her "judgment" completely.

As per Express UK, however, the case is quite different for the Duchess' father, Thomas Markle Sr. since he reportedly has the opposite views from his former wife.

It was revealed that he felt "disappointed" upon learning the Sussex couple's decision to become "financially-independent" and focused on their private advocacies outside the monarchy. He, along with Meghan Markle's half-sister, Samantha, described the Megxit controversy as a "gross" and "disrespectful" decision made toward Queen Elizabeth II.

But, despite all the unpleasant statements, the Queen and the Palace already released an official statement regarding the matter. It appears that she, alongside the senior members of the Royal Family like Prince Charles and Prince William, already came to an agreement and gave their blessings to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
