Amid the controversial stepping down of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry from their positions as senior members of the Royal Family, U.S. President Donald Trump reportedly shared a few thoughts about the matter. While his "weighing in" was not a total surprise to the general public, his opinions did.

As reported by the New York Post earlier this week, the American politician had a sit-down interview with Fox News' The Ingraham Angle. It was described by the publication that Trump had a "plenty of sympathy" for Queen Elizabeth II after learning the Sussex couple's "bombshell" announcement.

Based on reports, President Donald Trump felt "sad" for the head monarch of the British Royal Family. It was claimed that he feels it because the Queen is a "great woman."

It was further explained how he "expressed" his "disappointments" after hearing the latest about Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, who just came back from their six-week break from royal duties. As reported, the U.S. President stated that he has "such respect" for Queen Elizabeth II, and he does not think that she deserves what is currently "happening to her" and her family.

The Queen "never" had mistakes. She has had a "flawless time," he added.

Donald Trump, along with his wife, Melania Trump, just recently, visited and met Queen Elizabeth II in London during the latest NATO Summit, which was hosted in Buckingham Palace. In July 2019, the First Couple also went to the country and met several members of the Royal Family.

However, Donald Trump and Meghan Markle never got the chance to meet each other yet. Even so, the U.S. President previously expressed his interests over meeting the Duchess of Sussex as per claims.

As for Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, and their controversial "Megxit," it is not clear yet as to what will happen with the Sussex couple. Nevertheless, the Queen already gave her blessing despite her preference for the royal couple to stay in the United Kingdom and resume with their royal duties as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

In a scoop made by Page Six, the publication deemed the couple's decision as "extraordinary." Instead of continuing their roles as senior members of the Royal Family, they shared that they want to take a "progressive new role" in both the United Kingdom and North America.

Aside from the reason that they seemingly want Archie Harrison to grow and learn in both countries where his parents grew and further matured, another factor that was considered, based on statements, was Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's advocacies. It was said that this "geographic balance" will allow them to have the focus and space for their new "charitable entity."
