Princess Eugenie has broken her silence on social media. After eight weeks of not updating her Instagram, the royal finally posted a happy family news to mark her return.

The York princess shared that it was two years ago today when she and her husband announced they were engaged. Princess Eugenie also posted a photo of her and Jack from a museum, much to the delight of their followers.

The royal pair celebrated their first-year wedding anniversary last October 2019. Princess Eugenie commemorated the milestone with some throwback images from the wedding.

A few days before her latest social media post, royal fans have been begging Princess Eugenie to return to Instagram. It was not lost on her followers that she last updated her social media in November, at the height of the controversy involving her father, Prince Andrew.

Some of the royal followers urged the princess to post again as they don't hate her because of her father's close ties with the pedophile Jeffrey Epstein. Others sympathized with the royal and said that she might be avoiding the limelight because of Prince Andrew's scandal.

Still, other followers were expecting that Princess Eugenie would reveal if Queen Elizabeth would become a new grandmother all over again. Royal followers have been expecting a baby announcement from the York royal since her marriage.

In the spring, Princess Eugenie is going to celebrate the wedding of her big sister Princess Beatrice to Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi. However, details of this upcoming royal wedding have not been made official. Royal experts said that Princess Beatrice would like to keep this even lowkey not because of her father's controversy but because she is a shy and private person. The wedding will not even be televised in the U.K.

Meanwhile, Princess Eugenie is pegged to be taking over Prince Harry and Meghan's royal duties. According to royal expert Harry Mount, it will not be surprising if she and Princess Beatrice would be called upon by Buckingham Palace to take in more workload for the royal family, especially since Prince Andrew has also resigned from his post.

However, Princess Eugenie is not a senior member of the royal family and have little experience as a working royal even if she is a philanthropist. She also has a day job as the director of Hauser & Wirth, a London art gallery. Her husband, on the other hand, is in the hospitality industry.
