Prince William and Kate Middleton's royal duties are now up, making them being "entrusted with sensitive" international trips by the royal family and the government. A royal expert claimed that their rising stardom and aptitude make the Cambridges the perfect choice to do more critical royal tasks.

Richard Fitzwilliams revealed that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were "specifically chosen" to go to sensitive international trips. In an interview with Express, he said that the royal couple had a "very good year" in 2019 compared to other members of the royal family, upping their royal works, per Express.

With their continuous rise to stardom, Fitzwilliams said that they would be doing "more and more." "Look at the trip to Pakistan following on from two years ago when William went to Israel and the occupied territories," he added. "These are the sort of sensitive trips that are being entrusted to them."

With Kate Middleton's passion for photography and interest in children's affairs, the garden she created in the Chelsea Flower Show showed that she could handle things well. Along with her husband, they also manifested that they are "very responsive" to public relations.

Prince William made the first-ever royal visit to Israel and Palestine when he met with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas in 2018. He also visited Pakistan with his wife in 2019 - a first in 13 years - to meet Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan and President Arif Alvi.

In addition, the future king also visited Kuwait and Oman at the request of the Foreign and Commonwealth Office last year for the 120th anniversary of the signed friendship treaty between Kuwait and the United Kingdom. Hence, Fitzwilliams described Prince William and Kate Middleton as "exemplifying royal duty at its best."

Meanwhile, Prince William and Kate Middleton are set to attend the BAFTAs in February, Daily Mail Online noted. The two will be walking the red carpet on Sunday, Feb. 2, which is expected to be the "biggest night" in the U.K. cinema.

It is already a tradition for Prince William and Kate Middleton to attend the event at the Royal Albert Hall in London each year. In fact, this 2020, it will be their fourth time in a row to attend the awards ceremony.

Prince William is now celebrating his 10th year as the president of BAFTA. He is set to present the highest accolade, called the Fellowship, at the event to the Star Wars producer Kathleen Kennedy. It remains to be seen if he will be with Kate Middleton upstage.
