Apple introduced a new pricing strategy when it launched the iPhone X series in 2018. The strategy seemed to be very effective that the Cupertino company continued it a year after when it released the iPhone 11 series. Now, a new leak reveals that the iPhone 12 lineup this year would include an iPhone Mini suggesting that Apple is pushing the same pricing strategy.

iPhone 12 Mini

The latest iPhone 12 leak comes from LetsGoDigital, which has been providing us with renders and leaks of upcoming smartphones. The site claims that the Cupertino company would introduce four new models under the iPhone 12 brand this Fall. The lineup would include the smallest iPhone model Apple has released in three years.

Additionally, the site reveals an iPhone 12 Mini model that sports a 5.4-inch display. It would feature a dual rear camera and an OLED screen. Aside from being the smallest iPhone this year, it is reportedly the most affordable in the lineup.

The smallest flagship phone Apple released was the iPhone 8, which was launched in 2017. It features a 4.7-inch screen and houses a powerful set of specs under the hood at that time. Earlier rumors linked the iPhone 8 as the base model of the iPhone SE 2, which is anticipated to arrive in the first quarter of 2020.

Other iPhone 12 Models

LetsGoDigital also reveals that Apple would release three more models this year, aside from the iPhone 12 Mini. These are the 6.1-inch iPhone 12 reportedly the base model, the 6.1-inch iPhone 12 Pro, and the 6.7-inch iPhone 12 Pro Max. The site also claims that all four models would feature a 120 Hz refresh rate and 5G support.

The latest leak seems too good to be true. Earlier, Digitimes claimed that iPhone 12 would be released in three models with some models offering 5G support. TF Securities Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo claimed that Apple would release four models and also said that some models might not feature 5G support.

Japanese site Mac Otakara earlier revealed the specs of the 5.4-inch iPhone 12 Mini. It also showed 3D renders of the iPhone 12 models. Meanwhile, Nikkei Asian Review reported that Apple asked its supplier to increase the production of the iPhone by 10 percent.

The increased production is for the iPhone 11 and the iPhone SE. Bloomberg, however, reported earlier today that analysts are worried about the latest development in China. The coronavirus outbreak started in Wuhan, which could affect Apple's major manufacturers if the deadly virus continues to spread rapidly.
