The Cupertino tech giant might launch the next-generation iPad Pro series in Mar., but the 5G variant might come later this year or early next year. Samsung, however, confirmed the arrival of Galaxy Tab 6 5G.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 5G Is Live Today

Last year, the South Korean tech and electronics titan released the standard Galaxy Tab 6. tech enthusiasts immediately speculated that the company might release a Galaxy Tab 6 5G soon. In Dec. 2019, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 5G appeared on the official website of the National Radio Research Agency, further fueling whispers online. Lately, the official website of the Seoul-based tech company in Korea officially announced the Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 5G.

Based on the company's official website, the 5G variant would share the same specs and features of the LTE and WiFi variants. The Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 5G is live now and retails at KRW 999,900 or approximately $850. It is available in three major carriers in South Korea.

Unfortunately, the device is only available in South Korea for now. Samsung has not yet said if it is going to release the Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 5G on countries where the 5G network is already live. Perhaps, the release in South Korea is just initial, and eventually, Samsung would launch the 5G variant in other regions as well.

First Tablet with 5G Network Connectivity Support

With the release of the Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 5G, the South Korean tech giant earns another distinction under its belt. It is the first company to introduce a 5G tablet. Samsung is also the first tech company to launch and release the first-ever foldable smartphone in the market.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 5G houses Qualcomm Snapdragon X50 5G modem as an extension of the Snapdragon 855 SoC. It features 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB external storage. Additionally, it sports the same 10.5-inch Super AMOLED display.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 5G sports a 13 MP primary camera and 5 MP ultra-wide camera at the back. In front, it features an 8 MP camera sensor. The 5G variant of the latest Samsung tablet packs a whopping 7040 mAh battery. In other Samsung news, the South Korean tech giant is holding its Unpacked event on Feb. 11. The event would unveil its next-generation flagship smartphone series, the Galaxy S20.
