Royal fans are still waiting for the announcement of Princess Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi's official wedding date. As no further details followed their initial announcement, there are reports Queen Elizabeth II offered Buckingham Palace to be their reception venue after the recent royal crisis.

The soon-to-be Mr and Mrs Mozzi first announced they would be getting married in autumn last year. However, no further announcement was made after that.

A couple of royal turmoil overshadowed their supposed wedding. First, was the scandal that involved Princess Beatrice's father, Prince Andrew, who got into a big controversy over his relationship with the criminal sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

The Duke of York stepped back from his duties as a working royal after his friendship with Jeffrey Epstein became a huge issue. Second, was the shocking royal exit of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. The whole world was watching the Sussexes' move and the monarchy's decision after they announced their plan to step down as senior members of the royal family.

These things reportedly forced Princess Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi to delay their wedding. However, despite the controversies the royal family faced, Queen Elizabeth gave her granddaughter a huge boost when she offered her to hold their wedding reception at Buckingham Palace.

"Bea was delighted and very grateful to accept," a source told Daily Mail. "It was a really special gesture as it will be the first wedding celebration at Buckingham Palace since William and Catherine's in 2011."

The last two royal weddings were held in Windsor at St George's Chapel. Princess Beatrice's sister, Prince Eugenie's marriage to Jack Brooksbank took place at the said chapel, followed by a reception at Windsor Castle in October 2018. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's nuptials in the same year also happened here.

However, the wedding date of Princess Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi has yet to be determined. Express noted that they still have to wait for a date that would be approved by Queen Elizabeth. They also had to wait for the fury surrounding Prince Andrew to die down.

The general election, Christmas, and New Year all passed by, but they were once again overshadowed by Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's departure. Anyhow, sources revealed that their wedding might take place in the early summer before the Royal Ascot week. It also remains to be a big question where Princess Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi's wedding will take place, although it seems like the most likely venue is in central London.
