BTS' golden maknae Jungkook's charms have endeared him to fans all over the world and Japanese ARMYs are just as susceptible to his charisma. According to a report by All Kpop, Jungkook made it to the top 50 most tweeted celebrities for 2019 in Japan. He ranked No. 46 by raking in over half a million tweets for himself alone.

The BTS maknae garnered 504,000 tweets from Japanese fans. While his BTS hyungs were not able to join him on the Top 50 list, he was not the only Kpop artist to enter the winners' circle. Jaejoong finished at No. 14. TWICE, who repeatedly sold-out concert venues in Japan, also made the list at No. 41.

It comes as no surprise that Jungkook is well-loved by Japanese music fans. His solo track Euphoria became top-selling BTS songs in Japan and worldwide. His song was even more popular than the title track of BTS' Japanese album LY Answer.

Jungkook's power on social media has been proven time and again over the years. Most recently, the youngest BTS member became the top searched Kpop idol on the streaming platform YouTube. He also became one of Google's top-searched items. Even users of Tumblr were not immune to his market pull. He also topped the list of most liked tweets for 2019 and joined President Barack Obama and Ariana Grande in the all time list of most liked tweets in history.

On VLive, Jungkook broke streaming records by becoming the first idol to surpass one billion views for his solo broadcasts. Even though BTS was the most followed artist on the platform, Jungkook's posts account for a third of the seven-member group's total views. It was also through these broadcasts that Jungkook earned the nickname Sold Out King as netizens kept an eagle-eyed watch for items in the BTS maknae's room only to go on a buying frenzy for the said items.

It can be recalled that when Jungkook mentioned the brand of fabric softener he used, the brand sold out quickly in online and physical stores. He also catapulted books to the bestsellers list just because ARMYs found the title on his shelf. His support for lesser-known brands and startups have also helped small players penetrate a wider market. Custom made shoes and modern hanboks were among the fashion items that sold out just because fans spotted the BTS golden maknae wearing them. The power of Jungkook is indeed strong.
