Katie Holmes and Katie Foxx's relationship has been hounded with rumors even after it ended last year. One of those was the alleged movie that the two were about to do.
Gossip Cop looked back on NW's claim about a year ago that Holmes and Foxx were set to do a movie together. In February 2019, NW reported that the actors were in talks with some screenwriters to come up with "the perfect movie plot" for them.
The outlet alleged that the Dawson's Creek actress and the Django Unchained actor would like to play as husband and wife in a movie. It added that Holmes was also hoping that this film with Foxx would boost her career.
Gossip Cop debunked the rumor back then, citing a source close to the then couple who confirmed that Foxx and the Batman Begins actress were not working on any project together. The story was debunked then, more so after the couple split in August 2019.
At the time that the story was published, Foxx and Holmes were still together but have been very private with their romance. Gossip Cop also cited this fact, saying it is unlikely for Foxx and Holmes to do a movie together while they are trying to keep the media at bay about their relationship.
Since no one really knows when the relationship started and the two kept mum about it, many believe that Holmes and Foxx had a relationship for six years before they decided to end it in August 2019. The split was revealed just a few months after their first official red carpet debut at the 2019 Met Gala.
The two, reportedly, called their relationship off due to industry pressures and irreconcilable differences. However, there were also speculations that Holmes broke up with the actor after he was photographed holding hands with his mentee, 21-year-old singer Sela Vave.
Just recently, Holmes was rumored to have lost a lot of weight since the split and also, allegedly, having self-esteem issues. However, in a Shape Magazine interview with Holmes, the actress doesn't show any signs of depression or health issues. In fact, she even shared her routine on how she takes care of herself and what makes her happy every day.
Holmes and Foxx may not work together in the near future but their fans won't miss them long as they both busy with their respective projects. Tom Cruise's ex-wife will star in the upcoming supernatural horror film Brahms: The Boy II. She is also working on the drama movie The Secret: Dare to Dream, which is about a hard-working young widow struggling to raise her three children on her own.
Foxx, on the other hand, recently, starred in a lead role in the legal film Just Mercy. He is set to lend his voice in the upcoming Pixar movie, Soul.
