Jorge Luiz Frello Filho, better known as Jorginho to most, could be switching teams once the current season comes to an end. And while nothing has been mentioned, there is a possibility that he could reunite with former teammate Maurizio Sarri at Juventus.
According to Jorginho's agent, there is a strong possibility that the 28-year-old midfielder could leave Chelsea and move to Juventus. Both have a history with Napoli and Chelsea so a move to Turin is a possibility, Goal.com reported.
Jorginho's agent, Joao Santos, is fully aware that his client is likely to be swamped with offers during the next transfer window. But the thing here is that the German still has three years remaining in his current deal.
"I am sure that some important proposals will come, which we would obviously evaluate together with Chelsea," said the player-agent.
Outside that, Santos stressed that there is one domestic duty that Jorginho needs to fulfill. This is representing Italy at Euro 2020.
It would be best to note that the words of Santos are his prediction. But in the eyes of others, seeing Jorginho leave Chelsea will not be that easy. The fact remains that the team overpaid the Brazilian alongside Kepa Arrizabalaga last summer, Fansided reported. If this is to be factored in, the only way Jorginho will head to Juventus is if Sarri can convince the team's board.
While that is a possibility, the Blues manager Frank Lampard needs to attend to other things. Reportedly still sore for not being able to make the most out of the last window, Lampard knows that the road ahead will not be an easy one. In fact, he considers Chelsea underdogs now with teams like Tottenham, Manchester United, and Sheffield signing key players. Much of this can be read in a previous post.
The last thing that Lampard wants right now is losing a key piece of his team. Currently, on a break, Jorginho remains a vital piece of the team. Antonio Rudiger blossomed in their last match against Leicester while Reece James is trying to help out.
Christian Pulisic is raring to spring back to action, and that may just happen on Feb. 17. Chelsea FC faces Manchester United on that day, aware that the team has new faces in the mix. There is no official word on whether the midfielder will be good to go. He did show via his Instagram that he is raring to play. But the decision to field the 21-year-old player will still depend on Lampard's call.
