Prince William is currently the "second-most popular" royal among the members of the British Royal Family. It was also noted that he just came right next to Queen Elizabeth II.
Being the firstborn son of the Prince of Wales, he is the second person in line to the throne. While both of the heirs have been said to now prepare for their ascension, the two royals were deemed to be "very different" from each other.
According to Express UK, royal expert, Penny Junor previously "discussed" the young Duke's future in the British Monarchy. Along with his future role as the King of the United Kingdom, his differences with the Heir Apparent were also tackled in the interview.
Based on assertions, Prince William and Prince Charles are two different royals, especially in terms of their lifestyles. It was noted that the Duke of Cambridge has been always firm about his hopes of living a "normal" life. This narrative has been seen, again and again, in recent times as he and his wife, Kate Middleton, reportedly try to live a simple and normal life with their three kids.
It was also shared that the future King is "conscious" of his role in the "modernization" of the monarchy. He would like to "establish his own mark," the publication added.
On the other hand, Prince Charles was said to have a different kind of perspective. It was emphasized by the royal expert how the next person in line to the throne "lives a very comfortable life." In fact, he has been at the center of many controversies in the past because of his "luxurious" way of living.
Penny Junor then went on to share that Prince William is more like his grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II. He stated that the public had already seen how the monarch is very "down to earth," especially after the infamous royal documentary aired on small screens.
While this analysis might be true, Princess Diana reportedly had another view in this matter. As per The Sun UK, the late princess previously shared in an interview that her eldest son is more like his father, Prince Charles. She was also said to reveal that she likened Prince Harry to her.
The reason being is that she thought of Prince William and Prince Charles as both "deep" and "stubborn." Meanwhile, she thought of her youngest son as "hotheaded" like her.
In the end, however, it seemingly appeared that the two narratives are not in parallel with each other. So, Prince William may share a different lifestyle with his father but, he was said to still have the same characteristics as Prince Charles.
