Prince Philip is now 98 years old, and the royal family is now showing concerns over his health. There are rumors he may not make it to Princess Beatrice's wedding, while a royal expert claimed he might not stick around in the entirety of his wife's, Queen Elizabeth II, reign.

Her Majesty is the current fifth-longest reigning monarch in the world. The Queen took the place of the 19th-century emperor of Austria Franz Joseph for being on the throne for 67 years and 365 days.

However, to be the fourth-longest reigning monarch, she has to serve the monarchy for 72 years and 110 days to surpass Louis XV of France's reign from 1643 to 1715. According to royal expert Angela Mollard, it is a total of another five years in service, per Express.

She said on the Royals podcast that she would love Queen Elizabeth to be the "longest-reigning monarch" of all time. "I think she deserves it. What's she's been through, what she still has to manage," she explained. "I think there should definitely be celebrations. I imagine she will just have a quiet night in with the corgis."

But, it might be nicer for Queen Elizabeth if she would spend it with Prince Philip around. However, as he would be 104 in five years, it might be a little too much to think he would still be there at that time. Anyhow, nobody knows what will happen.

Prince Philip will be turning 99 in June. A lot of people are expecting to see him at Princess Beatrice's birthday, but there are rumors he may miss it.

The Duke of Edinburgh usually attends royal weddings. The last one was when Lady Gabriella Windsor got married to Thomas Kingston at St George's Chapel in May last year.

As her granddaughter is about to tie the knot with Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi at the Chapel Royal in St James's Palace on May 29, the expectations are high that he will be there. However, there are assumptions he may skip the occasion.

Prince Philip's attendance at Princess Beatrice's wedding depends on his health. After his hospitalization before Christmas last year, there are rumors that he has been suffering from poor health.

Anyhow, royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams assured that Prince Philip would be at Princess Beatrice's wedding if his health permits him to do so just like what he did when Princess Eugenie got married. Although he is already retired and spending most of his time in Norfolk, if he can, no one can stop him from being at his granddaughter's very special day.
