The royal family has been hit with several family crises over the past few months. After Prince Andrew, Prince Harry, and Meghan Markle step down from their royal duties, Queen Elizabeth II's eldest grandson, Peter Phillips, confirmed separation from wife, Autumn Phillips. Hence, a royal expert suggested Her Majesty might have been forced to reassess the royal family's future with all the issues happening.

Katie Nicholl suggested the consequent royal scandals are "forcing the institution to look at itself to reassess its future." "What is the monarchy going to look like now that we are three senior royals down?" she asked, per Express.

Although Peter and Autumn Phillips didn't perform royal engagement on Queen Elizabeth's behalf, their daughters, Isla and Savannah, were often seen at family events. From the looks of it, the royal family is yet to move on from Prince Andrew, Prince Harry, and Meghan Markle's resignation, but another royal scandal once again hits it.

The remaining royals are set to continue the duties that the three royals left. Princess Anne is believed to earn Prince Harry's honorary military titles after he agreed to renounce these honors. Prince William and Kate Middleton are also set to expand their availability to do more royal engagements.

Private Therapy Clinic psychologist and clinical director Dr. Becky Spelman explained why family crises often happen at once. She said one incident could trigger other members of the family to look at their situation and do something about it to change it.

Hence, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's move to Canada and revelation about their unhappiness may have influenced other unhappy royals to reassess their situation and make their radical moves. This thing might have incited Peter and Autumn Phillips to look at their relationship and circumstances.

The couple confirmed their separation after 12 years of marriage. Talking to Femail, via Express, Spelman explained that it might only be a coincidence that it happened after Prince Harry and Meghan Markle decided to step down as senior members of the royal family and move to Canada. "Maybe, but maybe not," she added.

"Harry and Meghan's decision was certainly a big one and must have been very upsetting for some of their family members," Spelman continued to say. However, their departure also opened up the minds of other royal family members to assess their own lives and situations and to do something radical to change their circumstances.
