Sarah Ferguson has shared some exciting news with her fans. The Duchess of York revealed on her Instagram account that she is about to release three new children's books.
Sarah, better known as Fergie, posted the cover photo of her upcoming three books that are titled, The Enchanted Oak Tree, Genie Gems Meets Arthur Fantastic, and Genie Gems Mission To Devon. All three will be published by Australian publisher, Serenity Press.
According to Serenity Press, Prince Andrew's ex-wife has signed a seven-book deal with them. The deal with Fergie consists of five picture books and two young chapter books that aim to engage with young readers.
The first of the three books is expected to be published in mid-2020. Fergie has authored more than 25 books in the past three decades including her Budgie the Little Helicopter and Little Red series.
It is not known how much Fergie's book deal is worth. Mirror cited an industry insider as saying the contract could be worth "megabucks."
Meanwhile, the duchess' fans are thrilled for her new project. Many said they couldn't wait for the books to be released.
"Nothing like being lost in a magical world of reading, inspiring young minds and adults alike, well done and all the best in the upcoming children's books," one fan commented.
Fergie's friends and family also congratulate the 60-year-old duchess. Among those who commented on her post is her daughter, Princess Beatrice, and her fiancé property tycoon Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi.
Fergie's news came ahead of Princess Bea's wedding in May. The Duchess of York's book could be released after the princess' wedding on May 29.
Buckingham Palace has already announced that the couple will tie the knot in a private ceremony at The Chapel Royal in St James's Palace where Queen Victoria and Prince Albert exchanged vows in 1840. The ceremony will be followed by a reception in the private gardens of Buckingham Palace, and it will be hosted by Queen Elizabeth II.
Fergie is expected to attend the wedding of her eldest daughter. There have been speculations that the Duchess of York will walk Beatrice down the aisle amidst the scandal surrounding Prince Andrew with regards to his friendship with disgraced sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
However, royal experts believe that the role is still reserved for the father of the bridge. Royal insiders said the Duke of York is expected to give his daughter away on her wedding day.
