Queen Elizabeth II is lessening her royal duties and giving it to other senior royals in the family. As the Cambridges are known for taking in more roles, reports are claiming Prince William has even more high-profile events than that of his father, Prince Charles.

Royal commentator Angela Mollard said on the Royals podcast that a lot of royal family members are going to step up this year. Although it could be clearly seen on Prince Charles' activities, his son seems to have more high-profile events.

"A lot of international trips particularly to countries that need a bit of care and attention," Mollard said, via Express. Prince William had been in the more complex countries that had more political issues.

"I think the fact that William's doing more of that suggests he's really stepping into it," Mollard added. Aside from the Duke of Cambridge, his wife, Kate Middleton, is also upping her royal duties.

Queen Elizabeth recently gave one of her patrons, the family action charity, to the Duchess of Cambridge after she held it for 65 years. Her Majesty must be proud of the time she spent visiting and working for the institution.

There must be a lot of work they do for serving these charities, especially when they combined all these engagements. Now, the younger royals are doing most of the works. As a lot has been passed to Prince William, Kate Middleton, and Prince Charles, people may often see them on the go.

To recall, Prince William and Kate Middleton visited Pakistan in October 2019 together. This engagement was dubbed as their most complex royal tour to date. Prince Charles and Camilla Parker-Bowles, on the other hand, toured the U.K.

Prince William is also set to have a joint appearance with his younger brother, Prince Charles, next month. With the two brothers' reunion, Cosmopolitan noted Queen Elizabeth has some thoughts.

The Queen reportedly has some concerns about the status of Prince William and Prince Harry's relationship. However, their grandmother is hoping that they will be putting their differences aside, showing a united front throughout their engagement.

A source even told Us Weekly that Queen Elizabeth hopes her grandsons would be cordial when Meghan Markle's husband returns to the U.K. next month, although "there's still tension behind closed doors." The insider continued to say that although Prince Harry and Prince William already talked to each other several times, it was only about business matters and the controversial royal exit.
