As advertised, independent developer group Unc0ver has released the jailbreak tool that will unlock iOS devices powered by the A12 and A13 Bionic mobile processors. Specifically, the solution is designed for iPhones and iPads running on iOS 13 up to version 13.3. For users now on iOS 13.3.1, the process will be of no use for now.

The tool is now ready to download and is labeled version 4.0.0. According to Unc0ver leader @Pwn20wnd, the latest release comes "with full-fledged support for A12-A13 devices on iOS 13.0-13.3 with Cydia and system-wide tweak injection."

By tweak injection, the dev chief meant that jailbreak users would have to depend on Substitute, which should be a temporary set up. That's because Cydia developer Saurik has yet to make the necessary adjustments that will make the Cydia Substrate compatible with A12 and A13 chips, according to WCCFTech.

The latest effort from Unc0ver makes the new jailbreak the only available tool that can modify Apple devices running on the latest Bionic processors, and the hacking group promises that the process should run smoothly on targeted device models, even for the lines that were deployed in 2018 and 2019.

That means the jailbreak is fully usable for the iPhone XS series and the iPhone 11 family so long as these devices have not been bumped up to iOS 13.3.1.

As always, the case, the new jailbreak, has encountered issues like system crashes and the process unable to complete. However, it is expected that an update will be provided by Unc0ver real soon.

Per the same report, since Unc0ver 4.0.0 will not install on devices that made the jump to iOS 13.3.1, jailbreak fans cans instead check out the latest Checkra1n jailbreak release, which has recently added support for the newest iOS version.

The fact that jailbreak solutions are readily available to modify nearly all iPhones and iPads in circulation is nothing short of impressive. These jailbreak tools have been coming out at a time that Apple is ramping up on efforts to keep the hackers at bay.

What's even more impressive is that some of the unlocking tools were created not easily patchable since the exploits used for the jailbreak were hardware-based. This was the case for the Checkra1n jailbreak solution.

Now for jailbreak fans ready to take the latest Unc0ver offering for a spin, iClarified came up with an illustrated guide that should make the whole process of getting the solution and installing it a smooth experience.

The set of instructions can also be used to jailbreak using iOS Ninja, the report noted.
