Sophie Wessex is said to be the most favorite royal of Queen Elizabeth II. The monarch, reportedly, likes Prince Edward's wife more than Camilla Parker-Bowles, Kate Middleton, and Meghan Markle. But, as the Duchess of Sussex left the monarchy, the Countess of Wessex stepped up her work, which Prince Harry's wife might envy.

Sophie has been busy since the beginning of the year. Since then, she graced a number of royal engagements both in the U.K. and overseas. Just last week, she represented her mother-in-law in Germany when she joined a panel of discussion at the Munich Security Conference about the women's role in countering violent extremism.

According to Express, she visited a refugee community center in the area that helps young women and girls who suffered from domestic violence, sexual abuse and trauma. She, too, has been known for supporting the U.K.'s works on Women, Peace, and Security.

As Meghan Markle is also known for her works for women's rights when she was still a working royal, she chose to support organizations that helped women and girls. Although she wanted to continue her efforts despite stepping down, she could no longer represent Queen Elizabeth.

Since the beginning of the year, Sophie carried out several royal engagements that were helping women. She went to Sierra Leone in January to promote women's and girls' rights and met activists working against gender-based violence in its capital, Freetown.

Sierra Leone is based in West Africa. As Meghan Markle is also known for her love for Africa and the women's organizations there, this cause might also have an appeal to her.

Meanwhile, Sophie reportedly gets along well with Prince Edward's mother, Queen Elizabeth. Business Times recently reported that she was recently seen with Her Majesty on the way to St Magdalene Church while at Sandringham.

She even helped the monarch to smooth the Tartan blanket on her lap, which seemed to be a hint that she might be her favorite daughter-in-law. Queen Elizabeth, too, allegedly knew that she could trust and rely on Sophie compared to Kate Middleton and Camilla. They seemed to be too close that she is like her own daughter.

Sophie insisted on continuing her work in public relations, although things went wrong when she was only newly married to Prince Edward. Queen Elizabeth even commends her marriage to her son. While her other children have failed relationships, Sophie stayed true to her vow, promising to be with her husband despite his tricky attitude.
