Over 14,000 Discharged in China

China's National Health Commission announced on Tuesday that a total of 14,376 patients have recovered from the novel coronavirus and have been discharged from health facilities across the country, Xinhua reported

In Tuesday alone, 1,824 patients exited hospitals, marking another milestone in the country's tough battle against the CoViD-19 strain. As of Tuesday, there are 74,185 confirmed cases in 31 Chinese provincial regions.

Aside from the said confirmations on the infection and death tolls, other positive news was also unraveled by the World Health Organization's (WHO) studies.

Four Out of Five Patients Expected to Recover

WHO chief Tedros Adhanom said on Monday that Chinese data suggested four out of five coronavirus sufferers in the mainland area are expected to recover from the disease due to mild symptoms.

According to Aljazeera, Chengdu survivor Yangyang, who was recently discharged from a Wuhan hospital, said that she is hoping her story of survival even at the epicenter of the coronavirus outbreak will raise hopes for others who are still at the hospital.

Tedros' comments and Yangyang's testimony of recovery came amid news of low recovery rates in the Hubei province, where Wuhan, the virus' origin city, is located.

Other Chinese provinces have shown a gradual up-tick in the number of discharged patients but in Hubei, the recovery rate has yet to climb above 15 percent. Most of the deaths in China are also still occurring in the said province.

African Student in Jingzhou Shares Heart-warming Recovery Story

Kem Senou Pavel Daryl, a student in Jingzhou who hails from Cameroon, Africa recently shared his story of survival that touched the hearts many people worried about the fast-spreading disease.

Malaysia Discharges 13 Patients

Ten Chinese nationals and three Malaysians walked out of hospitals in Malaysia on Tuesday, the country's health ministry announced.

While the foreign recovered patients have been cleared for travel to their home country, they will still need to undergo screening by Chinese health providers, Channel News Asia reported.

Among the patients discharged in Malaysia was a four-year-old girl from Guangdong, a 40-year-old man from Wuhan who traveled to Johor Baru from Singapore by bus, a 63-year-old man from Wuhan who landed at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport in mid-January, and an 11-year-old boy, also from Wuhan.
