Apart from significantly contributing to the wearables segment of Apple last year, there are many things that you can do with your Apple Watch. The Apple wearable is expected to be used with the upcoming CarKey feature. But, before that, there is an effective hack that can help you control the camera of your iPhone using the Apple Watch.

One of the major benefits of Apple Watch is its ability to be used as a remote control to the iPhone camera. The Cupertino company equipped the Apple Watch with a native camera app. However, it has no ability to save or record images and instead serves as a helper app to the camera of the iPhone.

Through this, users could preview and compose shots. Whenever the user launches the camera app on Apple Watch, it automatically launches the camera app on the linked iPhone. Both cameras automatically pair in just a few seconds. But, how do you use your Apple Watch to control your iPhone's camera app?

First, on your iPhone, launch the Camera app and tap the Digital Crown on your linked Apple Watch to locate the Camera app of the smartwatch. After that, point your iPhone to the spot where you want to capture and utilize watch preview to frame the shot. On the Apple Watch screen, you can adjust the exposure setting of the shot.

Use the Apple Watch display in the manner that you would do with your iPhone. After that, tap the Shutter button to capture a shot when you are ready. After that, you could find the newly captured image on the right side of the shutter button.

There is a shutter timer that you can use to count down. This provides the user more time to fix the scene or place himself on the scene. A beep and camera flash would be available along with the numerical countdown to help the user determine when it is time to capture the shot.

In other Apple Watch news, the Cupertino company recently seeded the watchOS 6.1.3 to users. The latest update contains a critical bug fix and some security update. Based on the release note, the watchOS 6.1.3 fixed the bug that prevents irregular heart rhythm from sending a notification to the user.

Apple also released the watchOS 6.2 beta 2 earlier today. The beta build is available to developers. Soon, Apple Watch could be used with the CarKey feature that the company seemingly plans to launch in the future.
