Prince Harry just couldn’t catch a break from all the criticisms. The younger son of Prince Charles and Princess Diana and his wife Meghan Markle have been receiving a lot of negative reactions after they tied the knot in 2018. Two years later, things are still not going any better in terms of their bond with the press and public.

In fact, Prince Harry, who was loved by many pre-Meghan Markle, is now branded as “phenomenally tacky” by royal fans. The Duke of Sussex shared a post of Instagram that many find weird and embarrassing.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s official Instagram account SussexRoyal shared a short clip of a mock conversation between the Duke of Sussex and Jon Bon Jovi. The pair are set to appear to promote the Invictus Games at the Invictus Games Choir Visit on February 28.

The caption noted that it was not a real text conversation between Jon Bon Jovi and Prince Harry. The fun exchange, where the Duke of Sussex made several quips like he was “living on a prayer,” was to promote the upcoming visit. Unfortunately, the delivery didn’t impress some of the royal fans.

“Phenomenally tacky. Unbelievable,” one wrote. “This is weird,” another one shared. “So tacky you both are... and why is royal still in the name???????” one fan commented.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will retire as senior royals later this month and the Duke of Sussex’ Invictus Games' appearance will be one of his last as a working royal. The couple announced last month that they will be stepping down as senior royals to focus more on their family and charities and to have a more “peaceful life.”

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were dealing with a lot of scrutiny from the media and the public, which became too much for them to handle, leading them to withdraw from their royal duties. However, despite their step-back, Prince Harry revealed that he and Meghan Markle still wish to serve Queen Elizabeth. Unfortunately for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Her Majesty declined their request.

“Our hope was to continue serving the Queen, the commonwealth, and my military associations, but without public funding. Unfortunately, that wasn’t possible,” Prince Harry said during his Sentebale speech.

After their shocking announcement, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle let all 15 members of their UK staff go. The couple's newly appointed private secretary Fiona Mcilwham, communications chief Sara Latham, Prince Harry’s program co-ordinator Clara Loughran, and assistant communications secretary Marnie Gaffney are few of those who are believed to have been let go by the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
