Enough of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's controversial royal exit, let's go to Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor, the only son of the Sussexes. The kid is now nine months old, and only a few months away to celebrate his first birthday. How does time fly? With all the controversy his parents are going through, they never forget to share the first major milestones of this kid and here are some of them.
Meeting the Queen
Unlike Prince William and Kate Middleton's kids, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, Archie was not introduced to the public after he was born. He has a more private life. He spent his first few days with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle at home.
However, after two days of giving birth, the Duchess of Sussex, along with her husband, introduced Archie to the Queen, his great-grandmother Queen Elizabeth II. He is Her Majesty and Prince Philip's eighth great-grandchild, and they were the first royals he met, Hello! Magazine noted.
Royal Photo Op
After meeting his grandparents, Archie had his first photo op. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle looked so proud when they were in St George's Hall at Windsor Castle, while their son was at the center of attention.
"It's magic, it's pretty amazing," the former Suits star said of the experience, while Prince Harry held their kid. She looked so happy when she said that she had the "two best guys in the world," describing the then-two-day-old Archie as calm, having the "sweetest temperament."
Christening
As Prince Harry and Meghan Markle wanted to give Archie a more private life, even his christening was a private event. He had a private ceremony in July 2019 in a Private Chapel at Windsor Castle.
It was only attended by fewer than 25 people, and the Archbishop of Canterbury conducted the event. His immediate family surrounded Archie, and he looked adorable in his Christening gown.
Royal Tour Debut
At a young age, Archie already held his first royal engagement. According to Closer Weekly, he made his royal debut when he joined his parents' royal tour in Cape Town, South Africa, in September last year. He showed an infectious smile when he met the Nobel Peace Prize winner, the Archbishop Desmond Tutu, with his mom and dad.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle brought Archie at the Desmond & Leah Tutu Legacy Foundation. Now, a lot of their fans are waiting to see when they will see the young royal with their parents again in a royal engagement.
Meeting New People
When Archie visited Canada for the first time for the family's Christmas break, he met new people. Meghan Markle introduced her son to some of her Canadian friends. Aside from Jessica Mulroney and Markus Anderson, he also saw new faces.
As his mom is exercising his communication skills, Prince Harry is confident that Archie will grow up to be a "confident, social butterfly." He doesn't get overwhelmed when his parents are bringing him to new places. In fact, he loves meeting new people and being entertained.
