Meghan Markle is once again the topic on Good Morning Britain. A lot of people noticed the Sussexes' subtle dig to Queen Elizabeth II in their statement regarding the banning of using the word royal in their branding. With everything said and done, a royal expert accused the former actress and her husband, Prince Harry, of being disrespectful to the queen.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex seem to accept Her Majesty's decision not to use the term royal in their name as they will not be working royals anymore after their exit on March 31. Now, royal biographer Tom Bower said on Good Morning Britain that the decision to step back from their royal duties is a "mark of disrespect" to the monarch herself, per Express.
Bower found Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's statement showed the latter's malicious anger. "What Meghan wants, Meghan gets," he said. He then explained that the former Suits star was rude to Queen Elizabeth. After marrying a prince, and knowing how the royal family works, she is now working her way out.
The analyst continued to say that the most precious thing in this country is to protect the royal family's reputation. Sadly, what he thinks Prince Harry and Meghan Markle want to do is to go freelance, do charity, and earn millions by marketing themselves and using their titles.
However, host Susanna Reid stopped Bower and said that what was spiteful of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle was if they said that Queen Elizabeth had no jurisdiction and would continue using the word royal. But, what they said was they would no longer use the term, which Bower found as a threat. Later, he said their decision should always be what the best is for Queen Elizabeth, the monarchy, and not for them.
Meanwhile, another Good Morning Britain host Bill Turnbull saw Bower's comments as an attack to Meghan Markle. Instead of a debate, he found their talk turned into a series of insults to Prince Harry's wife.
Reid then asked why every talk about Meghan Markle was always so negative. "Because of the hypocrisy," Bower responded, The Sun noted. He then said that there was a continuous demand for attention as she put out her version of events that contradicted the truth. Turnbull then stepped in and said that they should stop and return on what they were supposed to talk about as things just turned out to be an attack on Meghan herself.
