Camilla Parker-Bowles will conquer her fears to join Prince Charles do his royal duties. The Duchess of Cornwall has been known for her fears on flying, but she is willing to face this fright and work alongside her husband next month.
The heir to the throne has several scheduled royal visits next month. He will go on a solo trip to Bosnia and Herzegovina and will be later joined by his spouse to go to Cyprus and Jordan.
Prince Charles often travels abroad solo due to Camilla's fear of flights. However, this time, she has to accompany the future king upon the request of the Government, per Express.
Camilla has been bowing out of royal engagements in the past few years due to her fears of flying. Clarence House even confirmed her condition in 2018 when a representative revealed her absence from the Australia visit was not due to ill health but because of her fears.
"She decided a few weeks ago to firm up her plans. We were always looking at the Duchess coming. There are no health reasons," the representative said. The spokesman cleared that Camilla is as fit as a "flea." It's just that she doesn't like flying, but she is willing to embrace that fear and get on with it.
At the time, The Speakmans, a husband and wife duo who help people overcome their fears, offered Camilla of their services to conquer her fears. Talking on This Morning, the couple said that they told the future queen consort that if she would like to get their help, they would gladly do so.
Anyhow, Camilla has some ways to fight her fears of flying. Allegedly, she has been using the Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) to try and get over her fears and join Prince Charles on his royal visits.
Daily Mail noted that Prince Charles and Camilla are set to visit the Republic of Cyprus next month to recognize the work of the UN Peacekeeping Force. They, too, will celebrate the traditional Cypriot culture upon their arrival.
The week-long visit will kick off on March 17. It will mark the first time that a royal will visit Cyprus after Queen Elizabeth II do so in 1993.
After that, Prince Charles and Camilla are set to go to Jordan to meet King Abdallah II and Queen Rania. They will then visit several sites of cultural, religious, and environmental importance across the country. The Prince of Wales will then go to Bosnia and Herzegovina alone to see the memorial at Srebrenica to mark the 25th anniversary of the genocide.
