Meghan Markle, along with Prince Harry, has been the face of many reports in recent months. Following the couple's announcement earlier this year that they now wish to become "financially independent" as non-working royals, the controversies surrounding their royal exit continue to develop.

It took a while before the details of the deal, Megxit, was released to the public. Even so, it was revealed that their plans to step back and divide their time between the United Kingdom and North America were granted.

However, all of these come with reservations. As it happened, Queen Elizabeth II, as well as the other senior members of the Royal Family, set guidelines for their imminent exit.

It was only a few days ago when an official spokesperson for Meghan Markle and Prince Harry stated that the deal will officially be effective starting in Spring. While the couple was seemingly expecting for their brand, Sussex Royal to become official as their new brand for future endeavors, The Telegraph reported that the Queen is planning to ban them from using the word "royal" in their brand.

Speculations revolving the said matter were very apparent these past few days. But, earlier this week, NBC News confirmed that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will no longer be allowed to use the said word in any of their movements and plans outside the British Monarchy.

As per claims, this was a huge blow to the Sussex couple as they were already expecting to obtain the new brand. In fact, they had already passed requirements to trademark the "Sussex Royal" brand.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry then released a statement through their official website revealing that they no longer "intend" to use the brand in any territory starting in Spring when Megxit becomes official. They also noted that while the Queen and the Monarchy have no "jurisdiction" over the use of the said word outside the United Kingdom, they will choose not to use it anymore.

According to Express UK, several royal experts and analysts shared that this "humiliated" the Sussex couple, especially Meghan Markle. It was a huge "set back" for them, one expert added.

Royal expert, Russel Myers also seemingly warned that the Duke and Duchess should "step back" for a while before escalating the situation any further. They should also consider first how the public "perceives" them in recent times, he added.

It was then continued that many analysts find it "breathtaking" that Meghan and Prince Harry seemed to "double-downed" on it. As explained, the couple pointed out how they can use the brand outside the UK but, they won't do it as if they have something to say in between the lines.
