George Clooney and Amal Clooney are among the most beloved celebrity couples today. Though Amal is not from the entertainment industry, she has gained followers since she started dating Clooney hence gossip about them followed her as well.
The latest rumor about the two is that they are, allegedly, living separately for months now. According to Woman's Day, the couple barely sees each other since their trip to New York in late October.
The tabloid alleged that there has been tension between the two and suggested that the couple are no longer happy with each other. Apparently, Amal is too focused on her job while George has been hanging out with his friends while leaving their twins to the nanny. Amal is a world-renowned international law and human rights lawyer.
The source claimed the Lebanese-British barrister has been spending time at the couple's home in England, juggling between work and raising their twins. The actor, on the other hand, has been hosting parties at their Lake Como villa in Italy with his friends.
"He doesn't understand why Amal doesn't just cut back on her work and enjoy the high life with him...The differences between them are becoming more and more obvious, and Amal's not sure she likes where it's going at all," the insider noted.
Then the supposed source of the tabloid contradicted its story by saying George has been enjoying his newfound freedom as Amal allows him to stay in Como while she's in the U.K. The insider added that the Argo actor is thinking about suggesting to his wife to make living apart for several months in a year a permanent arrangement.
Gossip Cop debunked the story, stressing that Clooney is not living in Lake Como. He has been in the U.K. since October as he has been filming his upcoming Netflix movie The Midnight Sky there.
The actor's spokesperson also confirmed to the outlet that the Clooneys are all in London since filming started. It is unlikely for the 58-year-old actor to leave the set of the movie and party with friends at his estate in Lake Como since he is also the director of The Midnight Sky. The film wrapped shooting earlier this week.
Gossip Cop recalled that, in May 2019, Woman's Day also claimed that the Clooneys are heading to a divorce. That has proven to be false as the couple's marriage is still strong up to this date.
