TWICE member Mina is back. It may not be on the stage yet, but she arrived in South Korea with her bandmates following a series of concerts in Japan.
TWICE fans are loving every moment of the group at the airport when they arrive on Wednesday. Spectators immediately noticed that Mina arrived with the eight other members of the group.
Ever since the TWICE label, JYP Entertainment, announced in July 2019 that Mina will be taking a break due to anxiety, the Japanese-American singer has been focusing on her recovery. She popped up once in a while at the group's concert. She also travels to South Korea but she was always spotted with her mother. Her mom was always on her side, holding her hand.
However, when the " Feel Special" singers arrived at the airport this week, Mina's mother was not with her. Nonetheless, she was still holding hands with, not just one, but two people. It was her bandmates Jihyo and Jeongyeon.
TWICE leader Jihyo was seen tightly holding Mina's right hand. On her left side, Jeongyeon was there holding her hand while they wave to the crowd. The other members are cautiously surrounding Mina.
"Jihyo and Jeongyeon are like Mina's mom and dad," a fan commented while another wrote, "Mina is the bravest and best girl. JeongHyo holding her hands and also Sana petting her OT9 is such a blessing."
Mina attended the group's recent concerts in Fukuoka and Shizuoka, Japan. But more importantly, she returned to Korea with them. This was the first time Mina was seen traveling with her eight bandmates since her hiatus was announced and fans were teary-eyed at the sight of it.
Meanwhile, TWICE will be taking a rest for the meantime after JYP announced that the final leg of the TWICELIGHTS World Tour in Seoul, South Korea next month has been canceled due to coronavirus outbreak. The two-night encore performance was slated on March 7 and 8 at Seoul's Olympic Gymnastics Arena.
In a statement, the label said they decided to cancel the event to protect the health of both their artists and the fans. Those who have already bought their tickets could get a refund while the merch that TWICE has been planning to launch at the finale concert will be available to purchase through an online site instead. JYP will make an announcement about the online site in the future.
As the TWICELIGHTS finale concert in Seoul is no longer possible, JYP vowed that the group will return soon in much better circumstances and will schedule safer events for the fans in the future.
