Despite a privileged life, Kate Middleton confessed in an interview that she has mommy guilt when she needs to leave her children to attend to her royal duties. Her husband's cousin, Zara Phillips Tindall, also opened up about feeling the same thing.

In an interview with Hello!, Queen Elizabeth's granddaughter shared that she feels terrible when she has to leave her little ones, Mia and Lena, at home. Zara said that if her husband, former rugby player Mike Tindall, is at home with the children, she feels a little less pressured about not being with their children.

Zara is the second child of Princess Anne, Queen Elizabeth's only daughter. She lives within her mother's estate in Gloucestershire. The Tindalls are not working royals like Kate and Prince William, and they don't have royal titles for themselves and their children, based on Princess Anne's wishes.

The royal granddaughter is an accomplished equestrian who trains and competes at various races, including the Olympics, which has her traveling all over the world. Zara also supports many charitable causes as its patron, which is the main advocacy of the royal family.

In the podcast interview Happy Mum Happy Baby, Kate said that any mother who claims she doesn't feel guilty about leaving the kids is lying. The Duchess of Cambridge shared that it's a constant struggle for her if she cannot drop off her kids in school because she has to go to a royal event.

As Kate is the wife of the future King of the United Kingdom, she is considered as a senior working royal family member. This year, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are even expected to double up on their royal duties as the Duke, and Duchess of Sussex are stepping down from their royal roles.

Prince William and Kate are scheduled to fly to Ireland from March 3 to 5. They are also planning a trip to Australia sometime before the summer.

Meanwhile, Zara is reportedly making efforts to keep the royal family intact amid relatives leaving and divorcing. Her brother, Peter Phillips, announced in February that he and his wife of 12 years, Autumn Phillips, are separating after 12 years of marriage.

According to Daily Express, Zara asked her sister-in-law not to go back to Canada, where Autumn was born and still has family. Royal experts said that Zara wants to keep her children close to her cousins, since Peter and Autumn also have two girls, Savannah and Isla.
