There is little doubt that fans will finally get to meet the new Captain America in The Falcon and The Winter Soldier. After all, Steve Rogers has already passed on the shield to Sam Wilson, who is set to take on the mantle in the upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe series. But what can people expect from the new Cap? Anthony Mackie says that his version of the Marvel character should be someone who would easily represent everyone.

Fans have been hoping to see a new Captain America for some time, although most people believed that Chris Evans should continue playing the MCU superhero in more movies. However, the truth was finally revealed in Avengers: Endgame when Steve Rogers decided to go back in time and didn't return to the future. In the film, an older Steve met up with Sam Wilson and Bucky Barnes, and Steve chose to pass the Captain America shield to the former. With that out of the way, there were speculations that Sam would eventually become the new Cap in The Falcon and The Winter Soldier.

So how different will Captain America be in the upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe series? Anthony Mackie recently spoke to Trey Mangum where he admitted that he is taking his new role very seriously. He also pointed out that as an African-American actor, he is hoping that people will see themselves in his version of the Marvel superhero.

"With the idea of being a black man and becoming Captain America, it's been a daunting task because I think, at this day and age in America, I think we are open-minded to the idea of having my face represent us, as a country, because we're truly a melting pot," Mackie said. "So there is no distinctive look or feel or design of an American. We're all Americans. I want my Captain America to represent everybody, not just a specific group of people."

That's an awesome message from a man who will soon represent the new face of Captain America. It will be exciting to see how the character will be portrayed in The Falcon and The Winter Soldier.

The Falcon and The Winter Soldier will also bring back Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes, Emily VanCamp as Sharon Carter, and Daniel Bruhl as Baron Zemo. The new Marvel series will introduce Wyatt Russell as John Walker, aka US Agent. Although the show has not yet been given an official release date, it is expected to air on Disney+ by August.
