So is it possible that the mutant will be one of the first Fox characters who will show up in the MCU? A recent report suggested that Marvel is planning to cast The Witcher star Henry Cavill as Wolverine in the upcoming sequel Captain Marvel 2.
People have long been hoping that Henry Cavill will eventually join the Marvel Cinematic Universe. When there were reports that the Justice League star would no longer appear in the DC Extended Universe as Superman, fans reacted by fan-casting Cavill as several different Marvel characters including Captain Britain and Moon Knight. However, Cavill has since revealed that he is still intent on playing Superman in more Warner Bros. films. Nevertheless, people continue to hope that he will soon become one of the Marvel superheroes.

The Witcher Season 2 is expected to air on Netflix in 2021. Captain Marvel 2 has not yet been given an official release date.
