Outlander season 5 episode 4 will be arriving later this week on Starz, with the title "The Company We Keep." The series will continue following the Frasers, with Jamie and Claire likely planning to have another baby. Next week's episode also sees Roger leading Jamie's militia, but he found himself in a precarious situation.
In the promo of the Outlander season 5 episode 4, Jamie told Claire that if she wanted to have another child, he would perhaps give her one. Although it sounds like they're planning to have another child together, Jamie's remarks likely referenced to the child they previously saved. Yet, it looks like Claire decided to put the child's care in the nunnery rather than raising the baby herself.
It can be noted that in the previous episode, Claire helped a woman named Fanny to give birth to the baby, which she didn't actually want. Jamie and Claire decided to take the infant with them, hinting that they might adopt the child. However, it looks like they will be giving the child elsewhere, likely because they recognize they couldn't raise the child.
The clip shows a woman telling Claire that she was sent by God and she brings the baby for a reason. The woman then said: "We would care for her as if she's ours." Meanwhile, since the couple is still away, Roger steps up to his new position and getting ready for a battle. He will be leading Jamie's militia in Outlander season 5 episode 4.
He introduced himself to a group of men, but his words met with gunfires from the Regulators. They believed that Roger is a threat, rather than an ally. The trailer ends with Jamie warning the Regulators that they shouldn't attack his men. He firmly said that if ever they harm his militia, he'll consider them as traitors to the crown.
As for Roger, he is doing his best to live up his role as the Captain but it wouldn't be easy for him. He may stumble into some problems, especially since he's not really familiar with everything. He doesn't understand the era that much, as well as how people will respond to him. He may want to go back to his own time or he might be interested in changing his own timeline.
Outlander season 5 episode 4 airs on Sunday night, Mar. 8, on Starz.
