Kate Middleton and Prince William arrived at Dublin Airport on Tuesday to kick off their first official visit to Ireland. The couple reportedly flew on a "commercial" Aer Lingus flight with several Ireland residents, businessmen, and tourists.

As per claims, this served as the first tour made by the members of the Royal Family to the country after Britain officially left the European Union, or also known as the Brexit. This also became a talking angle of the town due to the accompanying headlines regarding Brexit.

But, aside from the politics-related reports, several publications largely focused on Kate Middleton and Prince William's first day in the country. It was said that their day was "eventful" as they participated in various official engagements just after their arrival in Ireland.

According to Hello! magazine, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were "greeted" by a small group of dignitaries at the airport, including Britain's Ambassador to the country, Robin Barnett. After a few conversations, the reports stated that the royals then joined Ireland's President, Michael D. Higgins, and his wife, Sabina Coyne, for an afternoon tea inside the Presidential home.

Along with the famous Barry's Tea, the four personalities also reportedly "enjoyed" shamrock shortbread, lemon drizzle cake, and oat biscuits, which were all made by the in-house chef.

Kate Middleton and Prince William also rang the popular Peace Bell at áras an Uachtaráin amid the meeting with the Irish President. It was noted that the bell was installed in 2008 to mark the 10th anniversary of the 1998's Belfast agreement, or more popularly known as the Good Friday agreement, between Britain and Ireland.

The same publication continued to share that the Cambridge couple also went to the Garden of Remembrance to attend a "commemorative ceremony." It was said that the Duke and Duchess laid a wreath during the event for those who gave their lives for the Irish Independence.

Their attendance at the ceremony was reportedly followed by a tour in Dublin's Government Buildings. As revealed, Kate Middleton and Prince William were welcomed by Taoiseach Leo Eric Varadkar and his partner, Matthew Barrett.

Town & Country magazine released a similar report detailing the events that happened on the first day of the Cambridge couple's Ireland tour. Kensington Palace reportedly noted that the tour will "highlight" the "strong links" between the United Kingdom and Ireland.

Before ending their first day, the two royals were revealed to attend the Guinness Storehouse's Gravity Bar. Several photos and clips emerged showing that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge enjoyed their pints of Guinness at the reception hosted by the Britain's Ambassador to Ireland.
