Ben Affleck is currently busy promoting his upcoming movie, The Way Back. While doing so, his sobriety and his marriage with ex-wife Jennifer Garner are being asked. Rumors have it that the actress is not pleased with this and wants Affleck to stop using their failed marriage to hype his movie.

Star published a story claiming the Alias star believes Ben is discussing their marital issues to promote his movie. A source told the tabloid that Affleck's recent interview has put Garner in an awkward position with her boyfriend, businessman John Miller.

"John's put up with a lot, dating someone in the public eye, but he's like, 'Doesn't Ben have anything else to talk about?' And Jen agrees," the source said.

The tabloid is referring to Affleck's recent interviews with the New York Times and People Magazine. In his interview with the former, Affleck admitted that his divorce from Garner is "the biggest regret of my life." He added that he still feels the guilt of breaking his family.

In his talk with People, on the other hand, the Oscars-winning director said he is very "very grateful and respectful" of her ex-wife. Ben and Jen ended their more than 10-year marriage in 2018. They are now co-parenting their three children.

The insider added the Justice League actor doesn't believe he is disrespecting Jen by opening up about his alcoholism and their divorce. The source said it is hard for Ben to talk about his movie without being asked about his addiction struggles, and when he does, his marriage will be discussed as well.

Gossip Cop debunked the Star story, stressing Garner is not upset with Affleck because of these interviews. The actor's spokesperson also confirmed to Gossip Cop that the ex-spouses are not fighting over it.

The Elektra actress also seems to be prepared that her ex-husband's alcoholism will be discussed in his interview since the movie is about a man struggling with the same problem. Their marriage is also an inevitable topic as Affleck has admitted that his alcohol addiction was a factor in their divorce.

Gossip Cop added that Garner fully supported Affleck in making The Way Back even though it is about a sensitive subject matter to the Argo actor. In fact, The Way Back director Gavin O'Connor revealed that the Love, Simon star begged him not to scrap the film after Affleck went to rehab in 2018 because she knows that it was important for the actor.

The Way Back is about a former basketball player, Jack Cunningham (Affleck), who turned down a scholarship to a powerhouse college basketball program, the University of Kansas. Now as an adult, he gets offered a coaching job at his alma mater while struggling with alcoholism. The movie is scheduled to hit cinemas in the United States on March 6.
