Apple Services, which includes the App Store, iTunes, iCloud, Apple Music, iMessage, Mail, Apple Arcade, Apple News, and a lot more, is a crucial revenue driver for the Cupertino tech giant. Last year, Apple reported that its services category brought the company $12.5 billion in revenue, which is a massive improvement from its previous $11.46 billion in the third quarter of 2019. It appears that this important category is currently undergoing several issues.
Apple Services
Apple recently confirmed on its support page that some of its Services are experiencing issues. According to the site, at least 11 iCloud apps and products are currently not working properly. Apple mentioned that users 'may be experiencing slower than normal performance with this service.'
iCloud services that have issues include Screen Time, iCloud.com, Notes, Drive, Photos, iMessage, and Mail. Keychain, Reminders, Notes, Bookmarks, and Contacts are also more sluggish than usual. At this point, users could not do anything about this.
The best thing to do is to wait for the Cupertino company to fix the issues from its end. It can be recalled that a similar issue happened a month ago as well as last year. A lot of users complained that Apple Services were not properly working at that time. Apple has not revealed what has caused the current issue with its Services and the number of users affected by it.
iCloud.com
Last month, iCloud.com received native support for both Android and iOS mobile web browsers. The latest update enables four of the most popular features of iCloud.com to work on mobile web browsers natively. These are Photos, Find iPhone, Reminders, and Notes.
With the latest update, users do not need to switch to the desktop site for a different version of the site on their mobile devices. It includes "Users can view their entire iCloud library, however, delete photos, like photos, add to albums and download, as well as sharing links, News Landed reports.
Aside from this, users can view live photos on their Android devices. They could also gain access iCloud account settings in the web browser that comes with external links for language, formats, and Apple ID. The site claims, however, the most impressive feature of the update is not working properly.
Uploading images directly to the photo library of iCloud on Chrome for Android would be the best part of the update, but whenever users try to upload it, an error message pops up. The photos also do not appear in the library.
