Long before the COVID-19 hit the world like a storm, the tech community has been anticipating an Apple event happening in the Spring of 2020. At this event, industry insiders believe that the Cupertino tech giant would launch its new iPad Pro along with the entry-level iPhone SE 2 or iPhone 9.
Tight iPad Pro Supply
A recent report reveals that Apple's premium tablet iPad pro is getting increasingly hard to find in major cities in the world these days. It could be due to the effect of the recent COVID-19 outbreak. However, Mark Gurman of Bloomberg believes that the recent shortage of iPad Pro supply could be an indicator that the 2020 iPad Pro is releasing sooner.
It is possible that the Cupertino tech giant is simply clearing the shelf for the arrival of the 2020 iPad Pro. The report also claims that some Apple employees who do not want to be named noticed the reduced iPad Pro inventory in the past week. Moreover, a quick check at Apple's website shows that the 12.9-inch iPad Pro is sold out in Apple Stores in LA while limited availability is observed in various stores in the US, Australia, and Europe.
Aside from the possible effect of the COVID-19 outbreak, another possible reason for the tight supply of iPad Pro is Apple's inability to meet the growing demand in the market. The Cupertino company has not made any comment on the recent report but earlier warned consumers of the possible effect of COVID-19 could disrupt the production of major components of its products.
iPad Pro Release Window
As mentioned earlier, there were rumors since last year that Apple would launch the 2020 iPad Pro in the first quarter of 2020. Even TFI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo predicted in 2019 about this launch window. But, what can consumers expect from the upcoming premium tablet from Apple?
Earlier rumors claim that the 2020 iPad Pro could sport a three rear camera configuration. There were reports that the premium tablet might house Apple's A14X chip. Other claims reveal that one of the camera sensors of the iPad Pro could feature Time of Flight.
A few weeks ago, it was reported that Apple was developing a smart keyboard with a trackpad as an accessory to the iPad Pro. Earlier leaks claimed that the smart keyboard might feature the scissor-switch design and might come with a backlight. While all these details about the iPad Pro are exciting, it is worth noting that these are not official yet. In this case, we encourage you to take this information with a good measure of salt.
