Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are now on their final rounds of royal engagements. After their first joint appearance at the Endeavour Fund Awards last Thursday, the couple was in attendance in London's Royal Albert Hall on Saturday for this year's Mountbatten Festival of Music.

The performance at the event reportedly marked the 80th anniversary of Britain's Commandos, as well as the 75th anniversary of World War II's conclusion. It was also said that the proceeds will go to the Royal Marines Association, which mainly supports people under 25, who are living with cancer.

As added by BBC News, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry were "guests of honor" at the event since the Duke of Sussex is the Captain-General of the Royal Marines. They reportedly wore matching red outfits as the royal born-Prince was seen wearing his Royal Marines officer's "mess jacket" while the Duchess stunned the audience with her bright red "designer dress."

Before the National Anthem was played, it was noted that the Sussex couple was applauded at the event. They also reportedly received a "standing ovation" as they head toward their seats in the royal box.

Their attendance at this year's event served as one of their final royal engagements before they officially leave the royal life behind. As previously revealed, the so-called Megxit deal will take into effect starting on March 31, wherein the 12-month review of their deal will also start.

According to The Guardian, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry also had the "opportunity" to meet the event performers in between the performances at the backstage. Several members of the "uniformed band" lined up at the corridor, who also had the chance to meet and greet with the royal couple.

Some of the photos that emerged after the event showed how the Duke and Duchess "laughed and joked" together with the performers during the interval. Aside from the backstage engagement, they also reportedly met several performers on stage afterward.

The publication also shared what the festival manager, Warrant Officer Reg Sheen had to say about Meghan Markle and Prince Harry. It was revealed that he found the royal couple "absolutely fantastic," especially after seeing the "reaction" they obtained from the audience upon their arrival. He also reportedly attested that he was "delighted" that the Duke of Sussex was the Captain-General of the Royal Marines.

The Duke and Duchess will be next seen on Monday for this year's Commonwealth Day. It was said that this will be the final royal engagement that they will have to attend before Megxit takes into effect.

They will join the rest of the British Royal Family, including the extended Windsor clans, at the said engagement. This will also be the first time that they will be all seen together since their "bombshell" announcement in January.
