First Lady Melania Trump gathered her bearings and launched an offensive amid the critics who lashed out on her on social media. Trump was inundated with criticisms on Thursday, March 5, after she posted photos of a tennis pavilion construction, which she is overseeing within the White House grounds.

Critics of the Trump administration, however, called out the First Lady for not tweeting about the effects of coronavirus or the tornado devastation in Tennessee. According to Daily Beast, some anti-Trump voices compared her to Marie Antoinette, who refurbished the Palace of Versailles while the people suffered under her husband's rule as king.

But on Saturday, the First Lady responded to the criticisms. In a post on Twitter, the wife of President Donald Trump said that those who choose to be negative or those who question her work should instead focus their time to "contribute something good" for their community.

Melania also referenced her Be Best campaign in her message to the critics. Be Best is her anti-bullying initiative.

The tennis pavilion is located near the Children's Garden at White House's South Lawn. The First Lady wants this area to be a useful space for succeeding members of the First Family. According to reports, no public funds will be used to complete this project.

Meanwhile, Melania was the special guest of the International Women of Courage Awards at the State Department last Wednesday. It's the fourth year for Mrs. Trump, who acknowledged the courageous women who received the awards.

There were 12 recipients this year, including a Chinese doctor who publicly spoke against the oppressions of the Chinese government, and a Syrian civil rights leader and survivor of a detention center. Another awardee came from Afghanistan, who witnessed the crimes of the Taliban regime. She said in her speech that she hopes the U.S. would continue with its peace efforts in her region.

In another news, the First Lady is putting her feet into President Trump's re-election campaign. According to Time, she will be meeting with supporters who will make a donation to the campaign in Beverly Hills sometime this March.

Melania has largely avoided fundraising or campaign efforts for her husband in the past presidential elections. Back then, she said that she has to be home to tend to their son, Barron, who was barely 10 at that time. This time, however, Melania will be visible as the president embarks on his upcoming campaign trail.

A spokesperson said that the First Lady is very in demand among Trump supporters. Some 47 percent of the voters also said that they have a positive perception of the First Lady.
