From Commonwealth Day Service, Kate Middleton went straight to Buckingham Palace to attend Place2Be's 25th anniversary. The Duchess of Cambridge once again stunned everyone with her royal blue dress, which matched the kids' uniform, and impressed the public with her dedication to her patronage.
Prince William's wife has been the children's charity's patron for the past seven years. Throughout her patronage, she has met students, families, and staff at the cause's partner schools to learn about their work.
Place2Be has collaborated with the Cambridges' Royal Foundation on different projects. It also works with the Heads Together Campaign, Mentally Healthy Schools website, and Shout, the free, 24/7 text service that Prince William and Kate Middleton launched last year to help anyone in crisis.
According to Hello! Magazine, the cause was set up by Dame Benny Refson DBE in 1994, aiming to provide emotional support to children at an early age. It also advocates that no child should experience mental health difficulties alone.
For the past years, it has helped and supported over 250,000 children and their families. It currently works with 639 schools across the U.K. During the event, Kate Middleton met the two school choirs that showed their talents, along with Place2Be's supporters.
But before that, the future queen consort graced the Commonwealth Day Service at Westminster Abbey with Queen Elizabeth II, Prince Charles, Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, Prince Harry, Meghan Markle, and Prince Edward, and Sophie, Countess of Wessex. She changed her crimson Catherine Walker dress with a royal blue gown by Jenny Packham and her updo to her signature bouncy, blow-dried waves, Hello! Canada reported.
Kate Middleton posed for a group photo with all the children, staff, and crew when the event kicked off. Stunningly, she matched the kids' uniforms, making her look like she was one of them. The night was even made more special with the performances of two choirs at the reception.
Of course, the mother-of-three gave a touching speech at the event, as she spoke about everything she had done for Place2Be since she started joining the cause in 2013. Kate Middleton revealed this foundation held an important place in her heart, as it was special to her.
"[It is] a charity that I feel hugely privileged to work with," she said. "And I am so passionate about the support it provides and the impact it has on children, families, and communities."
