Updates are designed to patch issues and to fix bugs. However, it appears that the recent series of updates rolled out by Microsoft is causing more headaches to users instead of easing them. Several Microsoft users are recently complaining about the issues introduced by Windows update KB4535996.
New Windows 10 Update
The Redmond-based tech giant recently rolled out the KB4535996 cumulative update for Windows 10. The update promised to introduce fixes for a lot of issues that affect battery performance, search functionality, and printing. However, upon installing the update, users flocked online to air their problems concerning the new build.
Most of the complaints come from users of Windows 10 1909 and 1903. Among the issues, they experienced include several glitches including boot issues, performance problems, audio issues, broken dev tools, and crashes. Some users are getting a "driver can't load on this device" notification on the support page.
This could mean that the Memory integrity setting is restricting the driver from working. The company also says that users must not ignore this warning because it could bring severe consequences. All types of software and drivers function properly on any computer because Windows drivers enable them.
How To Fix It
With a failed driver, possible havoc could happen on the computer. Microsoft's notes reveal lesser details about the severity of this driver issue. But, there is a way that users could prevent this from happening. This could be done by simply turning off the Memory integrity setting of the computer.
To do this, first, look for Windows Security, which could be found in the Start menu, open it. Choose Device security and Core isolation details. After that switch off Memory integrity if it is not turned off. Finally, reboot the system to apply the changes.
New Windows 10 Build
A new report claims that Microsoft is preparing to roll out one of the most crucial features of Windows 10, the volume controls of the operating system. It appears that this particular feature would see a massive overhaul in the coming future. The report comes from Window's latest, which reveals that the information was uncovered in the Windows 10 Build 19577.
The report claims that the new Windows 10 build has a code suggesting that new volume controls are coming to the OS. In 2018, a leak hinted that the Redmond-based tech giant was planning to change the volume control of Windows 10 on its future releases. But, many updates were rolled out and the Windows 10's volume control remained unchanged.
