Earlier this year, there were some reports hinting that Apple might release a new version of its over-ear earbuds. Icons of the Powerbeats earbuds were earlier found in one of the system updates. Today, a new leak surface revealing the Apple Powerbeats 4 and some of its interesting specs and features.

Latest Powerbeats 4 Leak

The latest set of leaked details about the Apple Powerbeats 4 was shared by WinFuture's Roland Quandt. Based on the leak, the upcoming sporty over-ear earbuds would feature a new design and modified cable routing. Unlike the current generation model, the upcoming earbuds will reportedly have the cable that led out to the holder behind the ear. The Powerbeats 4 is made of a durable plastic material and water-repellent housing that would allow it to withstand more stress, according to the leak.

Additionally, it received an upgrade that makes it on par with the Powerbeats Pro, in terms of technology. The current generation Powerbeats houses Apple's W1 chip, but according to the new leak, the upcoming model would now feature Apple's H1 chip, which runs on AirPods and AirPods Pro. Also, users are assured that the Powerbeats 4 would offer better connection stability courtesy of its Class 1 Bluetooth technology.

Other Powerbeats 4 Details

The new leak also reveals that the upcoming over-ear sporty earbuds would offer a balanced and powerful sound similar to that of the Powerbeats Pro. It would provide much clearer playback and a much wider range of frequency band, the leak adds. Apple reportedly designed the upcoming earbuds for "ergonomic comfort" and "first-class listening experience."

With the H1 chip running under the hood, the Powerbeats 4 is anticipated to feature Hey Siri. The leak claims that users could use the Apple voice assistant through Hey Siri. The function allows users to play, pause, and change music.

It also integrates the Beats button placed on the right headphone that wearers could use in processing calls. It will reportedly feature directional microphones and accelerometer to masked out background noise during phone calls. Another interesting addition to the Powerbeats 4, according to the latest leak is its long battery life.

Earlier rumors claimed that the upcoming over-ear earbuds might feature up to 12 hours of battery life. However, the leak claims that the Powerbeats 4 would have up to 15 hours of battery life. Moreover, it now comes with a Fast Fuel charging feature, which offers five minutes of charging for 60 minutes of playback time.

Like its older sibling, it still relies on the Lightning connector to get the juice. The leak also reveals that the Powerbeats 4 would be available in three color options. These are black, red, and white.
