Prince Andrew is not being cooperative with the Jeffrey Epstein case investigations. Prosecuting attorney c said that the Duke of York has actually "shut the door" into the inquiries.

Berman revealed on Monday during a press conference that Prince Andrew, who promised the public that he will cooperate, isn't being helpful. Thus, Berman and his team are looking at other options to get the royal to speak to authorities in the U.S.

This is not the first time, however, that Berman lamented Prince Andrew's lack of cooperation. In January, the prosecutor also claimed that there was "zero cooperation" from the Duke of York.

Sources told The Sun that Prince Andrew has been convinced by Ghislaine Maxwell, Epstein's girlfriend and alleged pimp, not to divulge what he knows into the Epstein case. Apparently, Maxwell said that talking to the FBI will lead to nothing good even if the royal wanted to clarify things as he did nothing wrong and it's Epstein who is the accused.

Maxwell has been living in hiding since the Epstein scandal broke. Epstein was the royal's friend who took his own life while incarcerated and awaiting trial in the U.S. for sex trafficking.

The alleged pimp also believes that the prosecutors are drawing Prince Andrew in a publicity ploy. It shows desperation on their part.

Buckingham Palace has never commented on Prince Andrew's controversial legal issues. However, it was recently announced that the Duke of York has hired a leading extradition lawyer and international criminal defense team to handle his case.

The FBI, however, has not subpoenaed Prince Andrew to shed light on Epstein's illegal activities. According to reports, the paperwork has yet to be filed with the agency despite the prosecutors' claims that the royal is not cooperating.

Since the Epstein scandal, Prince Andrew has been scaling back on his media appearances. In November 2019, the Duke of York said that he's stepping down from his royal duties amid the public furor over his friendship to a pedophile.

Prince Andrew skipped many royal family events. He wasn't at the Christmas gathering in Sandringham and he also had a private and small-scale birthday bash when he turned 60 last February. The royal also didn't join his family during the Commonwealth Day event. He even deferred accepting a promotion in the Royal Navy.

The Queen's son, however, will be attending his daughter's royal wedding. Princess Beatrice will get married in May and her father will walk her down the aisle.
