EXO's Baekhyun just gave his fans something to look forward to while many are spending time at home because of the coronavirus outbreak. The 27-year-old K-pop idol has revealed that he is currently working on new music.

Baekhyun is one of the busiest K-pop idols today, if not the busiest. Aside from working as a member of EXO, he is also a member of the group's sub-unit EXO-CBX. Moreover, the vocalist is also part of SM Entertainment's newest group Super M. All of these are on top of his own projects such as a solo album.

In his latest tweet, the "UN Village" singer shared a photo of a recording studio with a microphone hanging in front of a stand that has two pages of lyrics resting on it. Baekhyun said he is working on his new music.

When a fan guessed what Baekhyun could be working on, the singer clarified that it is a solo song which means not part of an EXO or Super M new album. Many EXO fans, called EXO-Ls, said whatever the singer is working on, they will definitely wait for it.

Some already speculate that Baekhyun's new music could be released on his birthday in May or EXO's anniversary in June. Others said though they miss all members of EXO, seeing each member shine on their own makes fans happy.

Baekhyun debuted as a soloist in July 2019 with the release of his first EP, City Lights, with its lead single "UN Village." The album sold over 500,000 copies in its first month, breaking the Gaon Chart record for the highest monthly album sales by a solo Korean artist. City Lights also peaked at No. 4 on Billboard's World Album.

Meanwhile, other members of EXO such as Suho and Kai are also set to drop their solo debut album this year. The group leader Suho is slated to debut solo next month.

The "Growl" hitmakers released their latest album Obsession in November 2019 and many are expecting a comeback album from the group this year. SM Entertainment, however, previously announced that the EXO members would be focusing on solo and unit promotions for now as some of its members are set to begin mandatory military enlistment.

D.O. and Xiumin are currently completing their military service while Chinese member Lay is promoting in the US and China. Suho, who was born in 1991, is expected to enlist this year along with bandmates who were born in 1992 such as Chanyeol, Chen, and Baekhyun.

Meanwhile, Baekhyun and the rest of Super M are currently on a break from their SuperM: We Are the Future Live world tour. The septet will return on the road for the Asia leg of the tour in Tokyo Dome in Japan pm April 23.
